Décolletage Care - What You Need to Do

Décolletage Care - What You Need to Do

The skin on your face is a priority. But, what about your décolletage?

Your neck and chest should get the same amount of love and attention from you as your face does. You know what they say, you can see just how well you take care of your skin by the way your hands and your neck look.

The skin on your neck is different from the skin on the rest of your body, as it has less sebaceous glands and fewer melanocytes.

Here’s how you can refresh your décolletage and make sure you are taking proper care of the skin in this area, so it keeps its youthful glow and undeniable smoothness.

Keep the Area Hydrated

As this is one of the first areas to show signs of ageing, wrinkles, fine lines, change in texture, it’s important to keep it moisturised at all times. Make this a part of your daily routine. If you haven’t got a specific product for this area, that’s okay. Remember all those times when you felt like you had just a little bit too much moisturiser on your face? Spread it down to your neck and chest!

Be Gentle

Needless to say, I don’t advise any kind of pulling, tugging, or rubbing of the skin in this delicate area. If you’re applying your moisturiser but rubbing it too fast or too hard, you’ll be doing more damage than harm. When you’re coming out of the shower or a bath, make sure to pat and blot your skin very gently.

Exfoliate

Every single part of your body requires regular exfoliation. At the risk of shamelessly plugging our own product, we recommend a gentle scrub such as our Natural Luminosity Scrub that will leave you with smooth, soft skin that’s free of all dead skin cells and ready to produce some new ones.

Apply Sunscreen

Sun is one of the main culprits of skin damage, therefore you must regularly apply sunscreen to your neck and chest area. This will help protect your skin and avoid sun damage that, once done, can’t be reversed.

Don’t forget to moisturise this area after spending a long time period in the sun.

Sleeping Position

How many side sleepers are reading this? Unfortunately, even though it may be a sweet sleeping position, it can cause many wrinkles and fine lines. If you don’t care about this, that’s okay! But if you want to avoid it, it is recommended that you sleep on your back!

Until next time, tell us in the comments what you use to take care of your décolletage?

Do you have a neck & decolatage cream in a bundle package . When I looked over bank holiday to get the 20% off I couldn’t see a neck cream

I rub pre eminent beauty serum on my neck before moistureriser is that ok? Also a little bit of feedback for you I personally prefer the little jars of cream rather than the pumps

Thank you for the reminder of attention to this area. I’ve just ordered the Natural Luminosity scrub and am looking forward to using it.

Would you ever consider adding a light sunscreen to your excellent moisturiser ? I use your products and I am delighted with them but I do miss the SP15 of my old one.
