How to Gain Energy and Stamina for a Productive Life
Share
Ever feel a little sluggish in the morning?
I know I can!
A cold shower and a cup of coffee might do the trick…but having a productive day calls for something more powerful… a lifestyle change!
There are few different ways to keep consistent energy throughout the day…depending on how much you sleep, stress levels, age or any medical concern.
The following habits will help you reach your optimal energy levels…so you don’t miss out on the important things in life!
1. Eat Right
You’ve heard it before but I know I need constant reminding so perhaps you do to!
Avoid processed foods and snack. Less crisps, less sweets, less food that’s clearly been over manufactured. Instead aim for whole foods and a balanced diet of fruits, vegetables, nuts, meat and fish (if your diet allows).
Give yourself the fuel you need to optimal energy!
2. Get Enough Sleep
Pulling an all-nighter might get your work done but without a healthy sleeping habit you’re depriving yourself from healthy energy.
A great way to track your sleep cycle is to use a sleep tracking app on your phone. Most apps will track when you go to sleep and when you fall into REM cycle, which is important for a restful night’s sleep!
If you’re not getting enough sleep, look into your bed time habits. Sleep deprivation can lead to health issues and it can impact your mood, motivation and energy levels negatively. Get enough sleep and you’ll have an energized day.
3. Keep Positive
Hang out with friends who make you smile, make you laugh and radiate positivity… your day will be A LOT brighter. Having positive energy around you lifts up your stamina and encourages you to have a productive day.
Friends and co-workers that have similar interests will keep you excited and energized. Be selective with who you have in your life. Negative energy will drain the life out of you!
4. Get Physical
Exercise is key to keeping your stamina going throughout the week. If you feel lethargic halfway through the day, don’t have another a cup of coffee…give yourself a few minutes to stretch your body and relax your muscles.
A little yoga or Pilate’s everyday will relieves stress and tension, strengthens muscles, and boosts endurance. You don’t have to do a hard-hitting workout routine…just stay active.
5. Practice your Passion
We are all passionate about something… whether it’s your family, cooking, painting or just relaxing to your favorite album. Either a hobby or tasks that you can do every day to take a little breathe of fresh air.
Putting your passion into a task will bring out a burst of energy and a good mindset. This type of attention will help you reserve your energy in ways that will bring out the best in you.
Keeping your stamina and energy at optimal levels will help you get more done and give you extra time for your children, family and friends.
There is so much in the world that we miss out on when we aren’t full of life and energy.
You can do it! I know you can!
Talk soon.
