1: Dead Skin Cells Lay Here Too
Exfoliating is an easy yet very effective way to boost your circulation and slough away dead skin cells, helping to remove dry, flaky patches and reveal smoother, more radiant skin.
What to do? Simply scrub your legs whilst in the shower with Natural Luminosity Scrub. Cleanse first, then massage the scrub all over your legs, working in small circular motions.

2. Do's And Don'ts For Shaving

DON’T shave as soon as you get in the shower. Give yourself five minutes or so to allow your skin and hairs time to soften.

DO shave while your skin is wet to help prevent irritation, cuts and nicks.

DO exfoliate beforehand to help lift the hairs from the surface of your skin and make it easier to get a close shave.

DON’T shave up your legs first as this can irritate the skin. Instead, work with the direction of your hairs to begin with (ie: down your legs), then finish by shaving up your legs at the end.

3. Get Your Moisturiser Right
Your legs have fewer sebaceous glands than the rest of your body which makes them more prone to dryness. This means, they really benefit from a good moisturising session after every shower – not just after shaving.
Get it right: Pat your skin dry after showering (or bathing) then apply Natural Luminosity Body Butter straight away. Massage it all over your legs, taking your time to work it into your skin. Massaging helps improve blood flow and reduce swelling – it will also improve the look of cellulite as an added bonus.
Pro Tip: It's important to moisturise your skin while it’s still slightly damp. Why? Because this stops water evaporating from the surface of your skin to help maximise hydration!
4. Let Your Skin Tone Shine
We’re all about enhancing your natural skin tone than faking a different one so, rather than dousing your pins in false tan, why not mix a little tinted moisturiser with your body butter to smooth your legs and add a subtle glow?
Grab your favourite shade of Organic Tinted Moisturiser with SPF 25 and mix equal parts with Natural Luminosity Body Butter before applying it all over your legs for a veil of radiant colour. Gorgeous!
Top Tip: You could even go one shade darker to really make your pins sun-kissed!
5. Protect Your Pins
Finally, don’t forget that all-important SPF whenever your legs are on show. The sun is not only accountable for most of the lines, wrinkles and dark spots you see on your face, but the same goes for every single sliver of exposed skin.
You know those new wrinkles you’ve been seeing on the backs of your hands recently? Sun. And those extra freckles on your legs? Again, sun.
Apply a broad-spectrum (this means it protects your skin from both UVA and UVB rays) sunscreen with an SPF of at least 25.
TOP TIP: Use a generous teaspoon for each leg and pay extra attention to often-forgotten-about areas like the backs of your knees, feet and toes.
As the most infrequently exposed limbs, your legs get a bit of a rough deal for most of the year. Sure, you may shave them from time to time, and you might even give them the minimal amount of moisturising when they feel a tad dry.
But considering they support your entire weight on a daily basis and help you to balance, stand, walk, run and jump, they deserve more than the teensy bit of attention they often get.
