Summer Skincare Guide (Step by Step)

Summer Skincare Guide (Step by Step)

Summer is coming!

And it's time to welcome all its charms with arms wide open and skin well-prepared too!

Here are your top six essential summer skincare tips:

1. Make the moisturiser switch!

A heavy-duty moisturiser will feel simply too heavy on hot summer days. Switch to a lighter formula, for example, a lightweight gel, that is simultaneously hydrating and soaks in quickly. Why? Because your skin produces more sweat and oil in the summer. In turn, this can cause breakouts and clogged pores, which is why it's essential to make the change.

Our Organic Hydration Gel is the perfect switch or addition.

2. Cleanse and exfoliate regularly.

Because of the excess oils and sweat, clogged pores can appear as fast as the first week of summer flows by. This is why I recommend you exfoliate each week, and use a cleanser on the daily. Remove dead skin cells and keep the pores clean.

Two of our favourite products to help here are our Crystal Cleanser and Natural Luminosity Scrub

3. Hydrate...Hydrate because your skincare does depend on it.

With higher temperatures and humid weather, you’re losing precious moisturise. Make sure you are constantly replenishing your resources.

4. Soothe your sunburns with a cooling cream or simply aloe vera.

Sunburns happen, no matter how hard you try. Make sure you are using products that contain antioxidants, as this will aid in the skin healing process and help damaged skin recuperate.

Our Organic Hydration Gel is perfect here.

5. To help avoid any annoying blemishes or blackheads, introduce toner into your skincare.

6. Sunscreen is a must!

Don’t go outside without sunscreen, and if you’re inside and near a source of light, wear it too. To make things simple, make sure you apply it as a part of your morning routine. Check out our blog on sunscreen for more information.

Most of all, don’t forget to enjoy summer and keep safe!
